MOBILITY

We choose the most eco-friendly mobility plans! Today, transportation represents almost a quarter of all greenhouse gas emissions and is the main cause of air pollution in cities. For this reason, the number 1 commitment of MaX is to engage in a soft mobility approach that takes into account environmental issues. Concretely, here are MaX's specific commitments:

1. Prefer the train to the plane for trips of less than 3 hours.
2. Encourage local stakeholders to choose environmentally friendly activities.
3. Reward "green players" with ecological goodies. The "green players" are the guests who choose eco-friendly mobility options.
4. The possibility of balancing the CO2 footprint of each event, particularly in terms of transport (carbon-tickets)

CATERING

We engage with local, seasonal, and organic preferences. Above all, MaX is committed to favouring the choice of local players in order to support the local economy and allow producers in the region to live with dignity from their productions. Each season, fruits and vegetables that meet our nutritional needs grow everywhere in our territories. These seasonal products are not only better for our health but also for the planet. This is why MaX is also committed to always prefer seasonal products. Finally, encourage organic products! Pesticides and GMOs being banned from organic farming, organic products contain negligible amounts of pesticide residues, unlike their counterparts from "conventional" farming.

CO2 NEUTRAL

We build carbon neutral events! Using the Bilan Carbone® method, MaX, in partnership with W-Agency, evaluates the CO2 emissions of its events, identifies ways of reducing this carbon impact and defines an action plan.

1. Reducing the carbon impact can be done in different forms.
2. Reforestation programs, at a maximum distance of 100 km from the event venue.
3. Social programs which aim to help populations affected by global warming.
4. Health-focused programs for those most vulnerable.
5. Educational projects which aim to provide access to proper education for the most disadvantaged.
6. Programs that fight for equal opportunities and promote civil and human rights for all.

For this, MaX appeals to W-Agency company which monitors the funds, implements the programs and ensures their impact on the ground with the local charities.

We partner up with the greenest suppliers. Being exemplary also involves choosing to work with exemplary suppliers. MaX holds a fundamental commitment to all stakeholders concerned about the socio-environmental impact of their activities. Whether it be catering, hotels selection, light and sound installations, equipment rental, web design, etc. MaX commits to promoting choices that take into account sustainable development for all its suppliers.

PHILANTROPY

The participative charity support. Thanks to an original and interactive approach, MaX can actively involve its stakeholders in its philanthropic donations. For this, the action comes in the form of a certificate of donation. This certificate of donation allows the *beneficiary to choose the project(s) to which it wants to award the donation among the charity projects that MaX and the client have selected together. In other words, each amount that MaX’s client decides to donate will be allocated to the cause the stakeholder has chosen to support. Moreover, in order to monitor the impact, MaX relies on W-Agency company to audit the different charities.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

We reduce, reuse, and donate! When it comes to catering food for attendees at events, there’s always the question : “how much should we order” ? Therefore, MaX will carefully monitor the amount of food ordered and process the surplus by donating it. Whenever possible we try to run paperless events:

1. Online registration page
2. Event website with program, targets, practical information, teasers...
3. Electronic teaser mailings
4. Mobile apps to communicate on site (program, changes, menu, ...)
5. MaX working documents on iPad
6. Communication, invoices by e-mail

MaX wants to run plastic free events!

1. Our aim is for our guests to travel with reusable bottles. We provide water fountains in the hotels and venues we use.
2. If our guests do not travel with reusable bottles or water fountains are not an option, we will use recyclable material
3. We avoid using plastic plates, knives, forks, spoons, straws ; there are bamboo, wood or stainless steel alternatives
4. No plastic bags but reusable bags in canvas or paper should be preferred
5. Plastic badges (if there is no alternative) will be collected and re-used or recycled
6. Unpackaged and reusable refreshing towels exist
7. Natural packaging for picnic boxes (banana or palm leaves in exotic countries) are great

CSR INTERNALLY

We inspire by example! Our desire to integrate sustainable development into all of our activities is part of a committed approach that we wish to share with all of our stakeholders. To make our commitment a reality, we have developed a list of 10 in-house initiatives to raise awareness among our teams about the importance of building a more sustainable, inclusive and accountable society. MaX is committed to 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Our 10 commitments

1. Recycling Recycling at work can be challenging. The habits we do at home we tend to forget to do them at the office. So let's act!
2. Ditch the plastic cups Rather than stocking and restocking plastic cups in your office, reduce your plastic waste exponentially by buying glasses or encouraging employees to bring reusable water bottles.
3. Insulation of our premises The heating of business premises is the first item of expenditure energy from the private sector.
4. Eco-friendly gestures Switch off the lights when you leave the room, adapt your heating to the temperature outdoors, don’t print unnecessarily, try to go paperless.
5. Organise "waste reduction" challenges We can also playfully reduce our waste thanks to company related challenges. Acknowledge the best practices.
6. Encourage "secondary" destinations We provide our customers so-called "secondary" destinations in order to limit mass tourism and its excesses.
7. Let's use digitalisation We believe in digitalisation! The idea? Replace paper consumption and business travel through online work to avoid wasting time, energy, and resources.
8. Support alternative mobility Car sharing, biking, electric bikes, cross-pedestrianisation ... There are dozens of alternative mobility methods that replace cars and CO2 emissions.
9. Invest in eco-designed equipment We also opt for eco-designed equipment from your computer to the bulbs of your office premises, to the printers.
